The APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial, situated at Pei Karumbu near Rameswaram, IS the resting place of India's beloved 'Missile Man' AND 11th President, Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. The white marble memorial stands ON the seashore WHERE his mortal remains were laid to rest IN July 2015. Designed AS a sprawling landmark, the memorial houses a rich exhibition of photographs, personal belongings AND achievements FROM the life of the great scientist, along with a statue AND displays that narrate his journey FROM a small Rameswaram boy to the head of the nation.
